Diving back into the Telltale Games archive, the company will be bringing their excellent Back to the Future adventure title back… for the present round of consoles as well as the Xbox 360.
I loved Telltale’s sequel to the BttF series, and it’s pretty nice to see that it’ll be making a return engagement with an expanded selection of platforms, and a few new additions.
If you haven’t played, the game picks up a six months after the close of the third film in the original trilogy, which director Robert Zemekis says will remain as is, and not be revisited. So the bottom line, is that if you want more BttF, then this game is the only way to get it.
As yo might imagine too, there’s more than a little time-travelling, and plenty of nutty situations that Marty and a few different versions of Doc Brown get into. There’s lots of stuff here for fans too, not the least of which is the voice acting, which includes Chris Lloyd and Tom Wilson reprising their roles as Doc and Biff Tannen respectively, as well as a phenomenal turn by A.J. LoCascio as Marty McFly- and of course, that cameo by Michael J. Fox, the original Marty.
Also packed into the 30th Anniversary Edition of the game are bumped-up visuals, as well as “in-game access to new, exclusive content: a behind the scenes video featuring interviews with movie trilogy co-writer and producer Bob Gale, original movie cast member Tom Wilson, members of the development team, and AJ LoCascio – the voice of young Marty McFly. ”
It’s kind of a must-play if you’re a fan, and a darn good adventure game even if you’re not. But seriously, who’s not a fan of Back to the Future? I mean, really.
Look for Back to the Future: 30th Anniversary Edition to blaze onto the Xbox One, PS4, and Xbox 360 on October 13th.
