He’s fought his way in and defeated the tank drones, now the Batman faces a squad of thugs and ninjas… and an attack helicopter.
As a Batman fan, it doesn’t get too much better than that. Hopefully, the game will play as well as it looks, although developer Rocksteady has a pretty phenomenal track record as it stands in that regard, so there’s probably enough reason to get excited already. The combo of Batman and the Batmobile looks like it actually freshens up the now expected gameplay in this series very well and the graphics, well they’re flat-out stunning even this far out from launch.
Nice to see the Scarecrow back in another one of those classic ‘Nightmare Missions’ too. And much like the Joker missions in the original Arkham Asylum game, it’s exclusive to the PlayStation format, the PS4 in this case. Whether or not the creepy mind game of a stage actually hits any other platform eventually is still unknown, so if you’re itching to tackle the hellish landscape of Batman’s own fears and terrors, then it’s the PS4 that you’re going to want to be picking this one up for.
As to when you’ll be able to do that, Batman: Arkham Knight is still excruciatingly distant, and launches on June 2nd, 2015 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
