Officially Kickstarted and on the way for Mac and PC is Larian Studios’ Divinity: Original Sin.
Divinity: Original Sin is a pretty ambitious experience. With a hardcore, turn-based cRPG experience played out in an open world setting, the game is basically a love letter to the longtime RPG player. And apparently, fans of the genre appreciate Larian Studios’ efforts.
With the Kickstarter campaign now officially in the successful category (though it is still ongoing), Larian has raised over $400k USD for the project and will be extending Divinity: Original Sin to include Linux and Mac as well as the original Windows PC offering. The game will also ‘ship’ with a fully featured editor, so fans can build their own adventures right from the jump.
Divinity: Original Sin is an open-world, traditional RPG featuring turn-based combat and single-player and cooperative gameplay, in which the actions and choices of players have true significance and consequences. It will ship with the editor that was used by the developers to make the game, making it the first game in a long time to sport an RPG editor that supports multiplayer.
