Far Cry 6 has a plethora of activities that you can do on the side. These are all part of the open-world sandbox nature of the game. Of course, it’s best to know how to exactly find the right spots all over Yara. Here’s our Far Cry 6 guide to help you reveal additional points of interest, military targets, and relevant information on the world map.

Far Cry 6 guide: How to reveal points of interest and military targets
As a rule of thumb, you can reveal more information on Far Cry 6‘s world map by interacting with the posters and notes that are strewn in various locations. These tend to have an exclamation point icon and, once you’ve taken a look at them, a new point of interest will be visible on the world map.
Here are some examples:
- Military bases, checkpoints, and AA sites tend to have a map (seen below) that shows you the locations of various FND caches. These will help you obtain weapons and armors.
- Some notes, posters, and documents will also tell you of specific areas that you might want to visit.
- Prisoners that are being guarded by soldiers might also have an exclamation point. This implies that they’ll reveal cache locations once you’ve freed them.
Perhaps the best means of revealing military targets in Far Cry 6 is by talking to your guerrilla pals. Assuming you’ve unlocked additional hideouts, bases, and checkpoints as fast travel spots, you can teleport to these areas to find an NPC. Talk to this person and they’ll tell you some interesting tidbits about the region (i.e., other checkpoints, bases, ambushes/interceptions, convoys, and various activities). You might even receive the locations of Yaran Stories or Treasure Hunts.
A key reason why this method is amazing is that you can keep doing this repeatedly. You can actually fast travel to the same location over and over. Each time, the NPC will provide you with a new point of interest. It’s a great way to populate Far Cry 6‘s world map with activities that can keep you distracted for hours.
