It’s a double-dose of Modern Warfare, with a look at the PC edition and a star-studded live-action video

Looking to pick up Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II on the PC? We’ve got some details on that, and this year’s over the top, celeb-loaded video.

Home platform

Originally the home of Call of Duty, the PC edition has finally gotten a bit more detail from Activision. That includes the actual PC-gaming platform that the game will be appearing on.

If you’re wincing at the thought of Battle.Net exclusivity, worry not. While Modern Warfare II will hit Blizzard’s PC gaming platform, it will also come to the the fan-favorite Steam. And of course, it’ll do so with all the modern bells and whistles.

Modern Warfare II will serve up “4K graphics, Ultrawide support, RICOCHET Anti-Cheat and more than 500 PC customization options”.

While Modern Warfare II doesn’t officially launch till the 28th (of this month), you can actually dig in a little early by digitally pre-ordering. You can read more about that here, but if you’re looking to play as early as possible, that’s your option.

Squad up

And as for that second dose of CoD, that comes in the form of the latest celebrity video. If you’re not aware of what that’s referring to… well, I guess you just haven’t been paying attention.

Activision does one of these for every version of Call of Duty, and has for a number of years. Sometimes they’re fun, sometimes they’re a little bit much. As for this year’s, I leave it to you to be the judge:

It’s almost time to squad up, because the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is right around the corner! While you wait, check out the live-action “Squad Up” trailer, featuring Nicki Minaj, Pete Davidson, Lil Baby, Kane Brown, Bukayo Saka, Lando Norris, Jalen Ramsey, David Long Jr., Faze Clan’s Nuke Squad and squads from all over the world coming together for the launch of Modern Warfare II globally on October 28th.
