Loadout editing has returned to Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare

Loadout editing has returned to Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare

A fan-favorite feature that was introduced to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare back in 2019, was the ability to edit weapon classes during a multiplayer game. This was a useful feature that players took advantage of to adapt their classes mid-game. Consequently, this feature remained in the series by carrying over to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. However, the feature was missing from Call of Duty: Warzone. This was until Warzone Season Four, where it was introduced to the battle royale. Once loadout editing was implemented here, you could edit loadouts anytime in Plunder, and in the Warzone pre-game lobby. However, the feature was removed shortly after.

Raven Software was forced to disable loadout editing due to various bugs. These included giving players unreleased camos, free blueprints, infinite dead silence, and more. Players were quick to realize the change though, which also impacted Modern Warfare 2019. Due to the introduction of cross-play, Modern Warfare 2019’s multiplayer is still highly populated. Understandably, this led to frustrations as the bugs caused by loadout editing were only appearing in Warzone.

Loadout editing has returned to Warzone and Modern Warfare

After removing the feature without warning, Raven Software has finally announced its return. The developer took to Twitter to confirm that loadout editing is back. Just like before, this applies to the Warzone pre-game lobby, Plunder matches, and Modern Warfare multiplayer. Hopefully no more bugs make an appearance and loadout editing in Warzone will run smoothly from now on.

Alongside the changes to loadout editing, the Call of Duty: Warzone meta continues to be ever-changing. In addition to this returning feature, the vast number of viable weapons keeps on growing, giving you a lot options to take to the battlefield.
