Need for Speed Rivals gets personal

Personalization is the name of the game in EA and Criterion Games upcoming Need for Speed sequel.

Developer Criterion is putting a heavy emphasis on personalization this time around for the franchise with as many choices as to car color, rims, decals and more as you could want. You can edit pretty much everything about the way your ride looks- right down to the license plates. Now that’s pretty deep.

Performance is a part of the alteration-heavy game too as you can tweak cars by adding evasive-leaning tech to them so you can scoot all that much faster from the cops. And speaking of the fuzz, while you can’t change up the look of cop cars, you can definitely alter their performance just as you would a racer. The only difference is that instead of evasion tech, you’ll be hooking your 5-0 car up with pursuit technology to better nab speed-freaks with.

Need for Speed Rivals will be available for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on November 19th with Xbox One and PS4 editions hitting around the same time. If you’d like to learn more about the personalization aspects of the game, click here for the official page.
