It’s a Nintendo time of year. As the Holidays rapidly approach, and the gaming giant is ready with a selection of sales and bundle packs.
Put a Nintendo under the tree
Christmas is a-comin’ and the Switch is getting fat. The derivation of that little rhyme might be over the heads of… all of our audience here on BG, but the fact remains that Nintendo is going to be on a bunch of wish-lists once again this year.
With a mess of huge titles and the Switch OLED out there, Nintendo has made sure to keep fans of all ages interested. If you’re looking for a bundle along with some games to give (or get), then you’ll want to see what the company has cooking.
For starters, there’s the return of an old favorite. No, there’s no bundle for the OLED model. And I can’t remember how many times Nintendo has put out the Mario Kart 8 bundle, but it’s back once again.
Yes, it’s the same one that you’ve seen before, with the classic Switch console included. The red and blue model is supplemented with a copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and a 3 month membership to Nintendo Switch Online. If you’re looking for the expansion pack, that allows for N64 and Genesis games, it’s not included. You could always upgrade, but then it wouldn’t be free.
The pack is priced in t $299.99 USD, which is solid considering the included game and 3 months of service. Just to remind too, the OLED model is indeed out there. While it’s not what I’d call easy to find, it is popping in and out of stock at online retailers fairly regularly. That console isn’t a bundle of any sort, but does include a console with a vastly improved screen for mobile play and a wired LAN port on the dock. It’ll run you $349.99 USD.
Need some games too, you know
Whether or not you already have your console sorted, or you’re on the hunt for one, you might be interested in Nintendo’s new game deals. A number of the company’s biggest titles have just gone on sale, with tags of $39.99 USD.
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
- New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe
- Splatoon 2
- Super Mario Maker 2
- Paper Mario: The Origami King
- Kirby Star Allies
- The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening
- Fire Emblem: Three Houses
- ASTRAL CHAIN
- Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition
The above deals begin on the 21st of this month (November). Joining them will be deals on the remote-controlled Mario Kart: Home Circuit (now $59.99 USD) and Ring Fit (now $54.99 USD). All in all, that’s a pretty great selection with some good discounts.
Finally, Nintendo says to also be on the lookout for digital deals, by way fo the eShop. That’ll come in the form of a Black Friday sale, so watch for it around Thanksgiving.
