PAX Online is coming in September to replace PAX West & PAX Aus

Since the start of the global pandemic, we have seen many events going to a digital format, from online tournaments like EVO Online to more traditional cons like Gen Con. PAX is the latest event to go digital as today they made the official announcement for PAX Online. It will be a nine-day event taking place September 12-20 and will be replacing this year’s PAX West and PAX Aus.

Don’t worry, there is no need to purchase or register for a “digital badge;” PAX Online is completely free and open for anyone to watch. The event will also have support from EGX, the largest gaming event in the U.K. It will reportedly still have the hallmarks of a PAX event, as there will be game reveals, hands-on demos, esports tournaments, and the Indie Showcase.

Bringing the PAX experience to you with PAX Online

“PAX has always been a community first, from the attendees, panelists, exhibitors, to the incredible Enforcers who keep PAX going all year,” said Jerry Holkins, co-founder of PAX. “PAX Online brings that shared experience home, along with game reveals, exclusive hands-on experiences, the chance to hear from and speak with your favorite game developers, plus so much more. Even if we can’t all meet in Seattle or Melbourne this year, we look forward to reconnecting with our friends and welcoming everyone to our new home, PAX Online. Technically, you’re already there.”

If you are interested in hosting a panel, you can make your submission today. The deadline for panel submissions is July 24. PAX will also announce when and where to watch these events in the coming weeks.
