RotT coming soon to digital platforms

Get ready fans of ludicrous gibs, Rise of the Triad is coming out of retirement and to a digital download platform near you.

The ultra-gorey (and ultra-crazy) shooter from Apogee is all set to return to PC’s everywhere for the first time since 1995. And when I say ‘everywhere’, I mean it- RotT is scheduled to be available on Steam, GOG.com and Green Man Gaming very soon.

RotT will be debuting on all three platforms simultaneously and, in a very cool twist, will support multiplayer play across all of ’em. So if you’re playing on a GOG.com copy, you can match up with a pal who’s playing with a Steam copy without a hitch. Now that’s just a good old case of common sense right there.

Although it is scheduled for release ‘soon’, we don’t have a firm release date as of yet for Rise of the Triad (sorry dog mode fans). What we do have though, is a system spec sheet, so all you guys and gals can make sure your rigs will play nice with the Excalibat when it arrives. Yes, the Excalibat, you heard me.
