The classic Doom catalog is now on Nintendo Switch

The Nintendo Switch is home to the Doom trilogy. Ports of Doom, Doom II, and Doom 3 have made their way to the console for a surprise launch.

Feeling Doomy

The demonic hordes of iD Software’s classic FPS franchise are back and ready to rip and tear on the Nintendo Switch. All three classic Doom titles have been uploaded to the eShop and are ready for purchase.

The games hit the shop early this morning, before being yanked and then added again after the QuakeCon keynote. Publisher Bethesda’s fan conference kicked off today, and this was a hell of a way to christen it.

And lest you think these might be simple ports of the base classics, think again. The versions that iD has on offer now are fully loaded. That means that expansion packs are included.

Here’s how they shake out:

DOOM (1993) includes:

  • The expansion, Episode IV: Thy Flesh Consumed, with 9 additional action-packed levels
  • Local 4 player deathmatch
  • Local 4 player co-op
  • $4.99 USD

DOOM II includes:

  • The Master Levels, 20 additional levels made by the community and supervised by the developers
  • Local 4 player multiplayer
  • Local 4 player co-op
  • $4.99 USD

Doom 3 includes:

In this critically acclaimed action-horror re-telling of the original DOOM, players must battle their way through a demon-infested facility before entering the abyss to battle Hell’s mightiest warrior – and put an end to the invasion.

DOOM 3 includes the Resurrection of Evil and The Lost Missions expansion packs.

$9.99 USD
