If you’re looking for something unique, The Last Oricru might fit the bill. Set on an alien, medieval world, this sci-fi title sets players into a civil war.
Like I said, this one’s pretty unique. From Prime Matter and GoldKnights, The Last Oricru brings together two pretty disparate themes, that you don’t see mashed up that often. As mentioned, that’d be sci-fi and medieval fantasy.
You play as Silver, a very long-lived space-traveller, who’s landed on a world called Wardenia. It’s that there he finds a civil war has erupted, between two different races, with both vying for supremacy (natch’).
The Last Oricru will be released digitally on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. A new announcement trailer invites players to delve into the adventures of Silver, the 350 years “young,” sarcastic, somewhat cynical space wanderer who finds himself stranded on Wardenia. This Sci-Fi/Medieval planet doesn’t really welcome him with open arms though… or does it? Silver gets dragged into a raging, planet-wide civil war over supremacy, and it is up to the player’s choices and actions to determine the outcome of the story. The living and breathing world of Wardenia reacts to the players decisions and will offer completely different experiences on multiple playthroughs – assuming Silver doesn’t repeat his mistakes.
Prime Matter press release
The Last Oricru is an action RPG at heart, but it doesn’t limit you to solo play. The game also serves up both split-screen, and online co-op, so you can team up with a buddy to tackle the fallout from Wardenia’s political issues.
Along with the above trailer too, publisher Prime Matter has released a look behind the scenes on the game, with a developer diary. Below is actually the 3rd dev diary, and focuses on the main hero, Silver.
The Last Oricru lands on the Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC on October 13th, 2022.
