Warhammer action RPG Chaosbane is making a comeback, with a new edition inbound for Xbox Series X|S and PS5 called the Slayer Edition.
Slay ’em in 4k
One of the better games set in Games Workshop’s fantasy realm, Warhammer: Chaosbane saw release on the PC and consoles a while ago. We actually reviewed the game, tagging it with an 80%.
The game, which played more or less like a standard genre aRPG, was good fun. It was also pretty good looking, with lots of detail and characters from the gothic-infused tabletop game. If you skipped it the first time around, or you’re in for another run, then you’re in luck. It’s coming back and in short order, with Warhammer: Chaosbane – Slayer Edition.
The new revision will be see release for current and next generation consoles, and sport a host of improvements. Chaosbane will now offer 4k resolution, and run at 60fps. Additionally, there’s a bunch of new content to play around with.
Gamers will get to play as Witch Hunter Jurgen Haider, and Keela the Dwarf engineer. Plus, those who’ve played before will notice that the hub areas for parts 1 and 2 of the game’s campaign have been overhauled. That includes the addition of a graveyard that throws in a new “environment and larger bestiary. This includes new enemies, including Daemon Princes, Skullcrushers (mounted and on foot), a Chaos Warrior and new cultists.”
Add to that a dozen DLC packs that have seen release for the game since launch, and you have a pretty nice deal.
Here’s a peek at it in action:
Warhammer: Chaosbane Slayer Edition hits stores for the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS4, and PC on November 10th. The PS5 edition lands on the 12th or the 19th, whichever date is the console’s launch in your territory.
