This Week’s Nintendo Download Comes in Swinging

Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash, Typoman, and Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon all launch this week.

This week’s Nintendo Download features two of Nintendo’s holiday launch titles, including Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash and Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon.  While the former has been lambasted for its anemic feature-list and lack of compelling single-player and worthwhile new ideas, the amiibo functionality seems nifty and I’m willing to give the basic, local-play tennis a go.  For the somewhat discounted MSRP of $49.99?  We’ll see.

Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon, on the other hand, seems like a return to form for the series, featuring an intriguing story and the same ever-changing environments that brought me into the spin-off franchise in the first place.

Both games release on November 20th.

If you played the [email protected] demo of Typoman, you’ll be able to grab the Wii U exclusive puzzle platformer for 15% off- though be quick: the deal ends December 19th.

Some nice deals put Might Switch Force! 2 at $2.99 for both consoles, and several of the Level-5 games will also be sold for a reduced price from November 25th through December 2nd.
