Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor – Martyr bringing a new class to new-gen

Making the leap to the current crop of consoles is aRPG Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor – Martyr, and it’s bringing a Sister of Battle with it.

Sororitas

If you played the original release of Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor – Martyr, then you already know that it’s a pretty nice little action RPG. From NeocoreGames, Inquisitor plunks players into the role of an… Inquisitor. Your job from then on is to cleanse the various worlds and settlements laid out, as you assemble the pieces of what’s a pretty complex tale.

Along the way, players meet various races from the WH40K universe, and of course kill them all with the utmost haste. Well, that and create their own Inquisitor, complete with various backgrounds to pick from.

Now that original title is getting the new-gen bump, with both Xbox Series X|S and PS5 editions on the way. But that’s not all, as there’s a brand new class too, with a Sister of Battle joining the fray.

Kind of an important clarification here though, as goes the Sister. She’ll be a separate piece of DLC, that’ll be hitting the PC edition of the game first and the console versions at a later date.

As for the console edition though, that’ll include:

  • Native 4k support
  • Higher resolution textures
  • Enhanced shadows
  • Improved physics
  • Cross-gen multiplayer modes
  • Fully utilized DualSense controller on PlayStation 5
  • And more!

Looking for a release date for all this? Well there’s nothing just yet past “later this year”. Keep watching, and we’ll have it for you as soon as it’s announced.
